I wrote this song in a little artist village in the north of Thailand called Pai

As I sit by the river I see mountains of green and a waterfall
As I sit by the river I sit and stare and want to share it all

Coz the river flows all day as I sit and fade away
And think of all the places that I’ve been before
Different cultures different names, each in its own way none the same
But this is one of the places I adore

As I sit by the river beautiful butterflies all around
As I sit by the river in a place where peace and harmony is found

Sudden rain comes tumbling down washes all this little town
And then the sun comes out and everything is new
As I sit here I get wet but I will not leave just yet
Coz there is nothing that I would like to do

More than sit by the river
Oh yes I sit by the river

As I sit by the river I can hear the birds singing my song
As I sit by the river all is good and nothing can go wrong

But I have to go home soon just as quickly as the moon
Changes every night until it gets full
All I’ve learnt and all I’ve done all I’ve hurt and all I’ve shun
